New Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) imaging technology unveiled at the premier photonics exhibition
Milpitas, CA, January 14, 2010 – Fairchild Imaging announced today that it will exhibit at the Photonics West 2010 Conference and Exhibition in San Francisco, California, January 26 – 28. The venue is an excellent opportunity for the company to unveil the latest high-performance imaging solutions for the demanding audience of optical and instrumentation engineers. Situated in booth 4608 of the North Hall of the Moscone Center, Fairchild Imaging will present new CMOS Image Sensor (CIS) technology to meet the challenging application requirements in such diverse fields as aerospace, defense, dental, medical, industrial, and scientific imaging markets.
The latest products in Fairchild Imaging's line of Scientific CMOS (sCMOS) imaging technology will be on display at the exhibition. sCMOS technology was developed at Fairchild Imaging to solve the most demanding of imaging challenges: to simultaneously combine low-light sensitivity with high resolution, high speed, and high dynamic range. According to Colin Earle, Fairchild Imaging’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, “sCMOS technology represents a dramatic breakthrough in low-light imaging. The combined benefits of these new CIS devices are unprecedented in the industry.” Fairchild Imaging will be exhibiting sCMOS sensors and cameras at the show and demonstrating their unique low-light imaging performance at their Milpitas facilities.
